The latest reporting period
iGaming Ontario’s monthly market performance page, updated on 23 September 2026, includes activity through August 2026. Its downloadable workbook covers participating operators with trading activity from the market’s launch on 4 April 2022 to the most recently reported month.
What the dataset includes
The series describes eligible games offered under operating agreements with iGaming Ontario. It excludes OLG’s online offering and pari-mutuel horse-racing wagering. Figures are unaudited and can be adjusted, so a downloaded workbook should be retained with its extraction date whenever it is used for an analysis.
How to interpret the release
The report is a source for Ontario’s specified market, not a measure of all gambling in Canada. This briefing deliberately does not substitute a headline total for the downloadable dataset. Consult the current workbook, definitions and reporting period before comparing categories or calculating growth.
EDITORIAL CONTEXT
A sound comparison starts with matching scope. Two figures can both be accurate and still be unsuitable for comparison if one includes a public operator and the other does not. In a working spreadsheet, record the period, unit, included products and extraction date next to each number. That simple habit makes later revisions much easier to explain.
