The site itself
This edition is a static website. It has no reader accounts, payment processing, newsletter registration, advertising trackers, analytics scripts, third-party fonts or embedded social widgets. Search runs in your browser against the article information already on the page. Search text is not sent to a search service. A search query may appear in the page URL if you submit the search form.
Age confirmation
The age-confirmation choice uses sessionStorage under the key zelmorquian-age. It is used to avoid repeating the prompt while you navigate in the same browser tab. It is not an identity check and does not store a birth date. Closing the tab normally ends that storage session. The footer control lets you review the confirmation again.
Your reading list
Saved article identifiers are kept in localStorage under zelmorquian-saved. The list stays on your browser and device; it is not synchronized or sent to us. Remove articles with the save button, use the clear-list control on the reading list, or clear this site’s storage in your browser settings. Private browsing and storage restrictions may prevent the list from persisting.
Hosting and external links
Your hosting provider may process ordinary request details, including IP address, requested URL, time and browser information, to deliver and secure the website. Retention depends on that provider’s configuration. When you follow an external source link, the destination’s own privacy practices apply. We do not control those websites or collect information on their behalf.
Reader choices
You can read the static editorial pages with JavaScript disabled, although search, saved articles and the interactive age prompt require JavaScript. No non-essential tracking cookie is used in this edition. Browser storage can be removed through your browser’s site-data controls. This policy describes the files supplied in this edition; any later integrations require a corresponding review.
