Structure and navigation
Pages use semantic headings, landmarks and descriptive links. A skip link appears when focused with a keyboard. Navigation, search, filters, save controls and the age dialog are designed for keyboard operation. The current navigation section is identified to assistive technology.
Reading preferences
The layout adapts to narrow screens and browser zoom. Body text uses system fonts, and illustrations have descriptive alternatives or are treated as decorative within repeated article links. There are no autoplay videos, animated news tickers or flashing effects. Reduced-motion preferences are respected.
Search and saved stories
Search results and status messages are announced through live regions. Filter buttons expose their selected state. Save buttons identify whether an article is saved. Browser-local functionality may be unavailable where storage or JavaScript is blocked; editorial pages remain accessible as ordinary HTML.
Known limits
External source documents, including PDFs, are controlled by their publishers and may have different accessibility characteristics. Our 18+ dialog is an access declaration rather than an identity verification service. This statement describes design intentions and implemented features; it is not a certification of conformance by an independent auditor.
