The March statement

Wynn Resorts said on 11 March that construction at Wynn Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah had resumed after a short pause. The company described measures to protect site employees and said its design, development and resort executive teams had continued their work. It also said additional project impacts would be assessed as circumstances developed.

Infrastructure beyond the resort

An earlier 2 February announcement addressed Marjan Bay Bridge, a 548-metre connection intended to link the resort through Marjan Avenue to the E311 and E611 roads. Wynn reported 48% bridge completion at that point, with piling complete and nine of ten column pile caps in place. Those percentages describe the February update, not the condition of the site today.

What remains provisional

The February release referred to a planned 2027 resort opening and late-2026 bridge completion. This article records those dated statements and does not independently confirm a current opening schedule. Company project updates are evidence of what management reported at the time; later disclosures may revise timing or scope.

EDITORIAL CONTEXT

For a resort project, external access can be as significant as the hotel structure. Road links, utilities, workforce arrangements and approvals sit on different schedules. Tracking them separately gives a clearer picture than assigning a single completion percentage to an entire development. Our editorial illustration accompanies the discussion of Wynn’s project planning and infrastructure.
